Healthy (Vegan) Salad Dressing Recipes

Salads are great and a delicious dressing makes them even more tasty. I am not a big fan of extremely sour salad dressings or dressings with a lot of oil or mayonnaise. That is why I prepared a collection of my favorite lean vegan dressings. If you eat whole foods and plant based, you would want to leave out the olive oil as much and as often as possible. You can always substitute the oil with water.

Agave Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 2 spoons of olive oil
  • 4 spoons of water
  • 3 spoons of lime juice
  • 1 spoon of mustard
  • 1 spoon Agave
  • 1 small spoon salt and peppe

Tahini Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 80 g Tahini
  • 100 g Agave Nectar (or Maple syrup)
  • 4 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 chopped spring onion
  •  a bit of salt
    Mix all ingredients with a food chopper until it has a creamy consistance. If you like it a bit more fluid you can add 2-3 spoons of water.

Citrus-Tahini Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp squeezed orange juice
  • 1 tbsp squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp apple vinegar
  • 2 – 2 ½ tbsp agave or  maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 – 2 tsp mustard
  • ½ – 1 tsp ginger -> finely chopped
  • a bit of salt and black pepper

Vinegar-Maple Syrup Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp  a fruity vinegar
  • 2 tbsp  maple syrup
  • salt and pepper

Mix them all and done.

Lemon-Garlic Mustard Dressing

Ingredients:

  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 1/4 tbspminced garlic or 1/4 teaspoon fresh garlic,
  • 1 tbspdiced onions
  • 2 tbsp tahini or soy milk)
  • pepper
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1/4 cup water

Blend all ingedients and off you go!

Peanut Butter Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 1/4  cup Peanut Butter (organic)
  • 1 tbspsoy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • pepper or chilli
  • 2 – 3 tbsp water

Ginger- Carrot Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 1 carrot (medium size) -> peel and finely chop
  • 1 inch of ginger -> peel and finely chop
  • 1/4 cup flavoured oil (such as peanut)
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Agave
  • 1/2- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/2- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
